Recently, Android announces the latest update for all the android users around the world with the name of 7.1.1. It is an updated version of Nougat 7.0 which was released by the company earlier this year and comes with some additional features and improvements for the smartphone. There were many official reports which stated about the security breach on the smartphones while using the Wi-Fi services. This was due to some hackers who were capable to hack the device, once they are connected to the Wi-Fi network. As the personal information was compromised, many big smartphones manufactured already rolled out the update with the security enhancements that will provide improvement in performance and stability. This is one of the reasons for the latest update of Nougat and is now available for almost all the covered smart phones.

Following the same path, Sony also released the new update in June 2016 which was mainly for Z series and includes smartphones like Xperia Z5, Z3+, and Z4 tablet. As informed the update will come with new features and improvements to the smartphones. Sony has already come a long way and after rolling out the update, there were many complaints which were raised against the company. There is many users who complain about the sluggish behaviour of the phone after updating it to the latest Android version. After the update, the smartphone gains the temperature after using it only for few minutes which restrict them to use it for more than 5 minutes. Another complaint was about the crashing of different applications. Once you will open any application, it will crash and throw you out on the home screen of the smartphone and within minutes, the smartphone will reboot. The concern was raised by the company and also comes up with an official statement that includes the problem faced by its users.

They stated that “Sony Mobile is committed to providing the highest standard of product quality and customer service for all of our products. A software update (version 4.7.B.1.3) has been released for the Movie Creator application, available in Google Play, which fixes a performance issue affecting some Xperia customers. Customers are recommended to update the application and restart their device. As always, customers who have any concerns regarding the performance of their Xperia device may contact their local customer service.”

Most of the applications are not optimized with the latest update and that is the main reason behind the crashing and rebooting of the smartphone. So if you are using any of the above smartphones and facing problems after updating your smartphone, you need to update another application and as stated by the company, you will not face those problems again. Earlier, Sony claimed that they wanted to be the first company after Google, to release the latest Nougat 7.1.1 for their users. The update was rolled out by Google on December the 5th, 2016 which was selected to the Google smartphones and later by other companies. There are many users who are still facing problems with the latest update and started losing the faith on the company. Sony already sold its partial business of Sony computers to a different company but they want to retain the mobile business. It was also confirmed by the owners of the company as in a meeting that stated that they will cut-short the production of the smartphone by 30% but they will never end up the business. By the statement, it is already clear that we will not see the latest smartphones by Sony as they are struggling to get back to the path but we hope they should regain the position which they have lost.
