iOS 15 adoption still trails iOS 14 two weeks after release

The iOS version this year stumbled from the gate when initial adopters found some of the main bugs. Maybe that’s the reason so many users hesitate to update their ISPONS to iOS 15. Two weeks after the adoption release is far behind what iOS 14 is managed at the same point last year.

Previous Mixpanel analysis showed data for the first two days – 8.59% of users installed the new OS. Now, the company quoted 22.22% adoption rate on October 5, 2021. In comparison, iOS 14 was installed on 14.68% of devices in the first two days and 41.97% after two weeks.

But keep in mind that Mixpanel collects data using its cellular SDK analytics and counting websites and application visits by users with iOS 15. So their statistics may be slightly tilted. However, statistics last year were collected in the same way and quite close to the actual numbers.

However, even if there are statistical deviations, it will be far from offset the difference in the level of adoption between iOS 14 and iOS 15. It is clear that the iPhone owner is a little hesitant to move forward, at least for now. Apple has discussed most problems that occur with iOS 15 so that things are bound to be taken once they are repaired with iOS 15.1 and subsequent updates.
