Xiaomi has marked its name in the history once again with its Redmi Note 4G device going out of stock within few seconds. It was launched with a bang with Mi 3 going out of sale and again the history has repeated itself.
Lets do the reality check, why?
Xiaomi has been the most successful handset maker that ventured into the Indian smartphone world with well-spaced and low price tags. Xiaomi mobiles in India are able to make their name by selling iPhone like device with an almost third of the price of the product. The brand has now sold a million sets of phones, making a global expansion.
Xiaomi recently conducted its flash sale in an ecommerce website where the company gave away 25000 units of Redmi 1S. While the other device Redmi Note 4G was out of sale with just Rs. 9999. The company has banned selling phones as they are accused of using Ericsson’s patents. Xiaomi has also overcome the shortcoming as they have permitted to sell the Qualcomm based devices.
Well this is not happening for the first time the company’s handful devices have been out of stock at a steady speed.
To give a quick recap about Redmi 1S features, it has 4.7” HD 720p display, a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad core processor coupled with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB RAM. Its 8GB internal memory can be expanded using microSD card slot and a 2000mAh battery.
While, the Redmi Note 4G features amazing features like 5.5” 720*1280p IPS LCD screen. It comes with 8GB internal memory and microSD slots for expansion. The device supports card up to 64GB. But it runs on quad-core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU with a 2GB RAM.
As, Xiaomi is really doing well in the Indian handset market by producing cheap smartphones with high end features. As Xiaomi has been a smart player because they launch their devices very smartly by selling them during flash sales. These flash sales end soon as there might be a large number of buyers eyeing during the sales.
Things you should know about buying a Xiaomi phone:
1) Only one device can be purchased at a time.
2) You will not be able to buy multiple accessories like earphones etc.
Final Words
Though Xiaomi did not tell that how many phones have been sold but the new device has collected at least 220 million pre orders. But it is expected that this year Xiaomi will sell at least 100 million devices.
With its solid features at an affordable price, Xiaomi is selling like hot piece of cake in the Indian smartphone market.
