Lenovo has risen to be one of the most competitive technology companies in the world. It has recently released several products which support the latest speeds and applications. Some of the latest products include the classic Idea Pad A10, the first dual-mode laptop operating on an Android and the quad-core phablet offering Vibe Z. The Vibe Z phablet was released in the Chinese market later last year and has now been launched in the Indian market. It comes with an initial market offer of 35,000 Indian Rupees.

Gadget specifications

The newest Lenovo premium mobile product, the V quad-core phablet comes with a 5.5 inch full HD touch screen display with capacitive capabilities. It offers a high 1920 x 1080 resolution with a PPI pixel density of 400. It has a strong 2.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon (800) processor and comes with an internal Random Access memory (RAM) of 2 GB. The devise operates on Android 4.3 jelly Bean OS which can be updated. It has an internal memory of 16 GB (not expandable).

Camera, video and sharing

The Phablet offers a 14 mega pixel back camera with a strong LED flash light, which can record high definition videos of up to 1080p at a rate of 30 frames per second. It also has a front camera of 5 megapixels with a face recognition feature and a motion sensor. It can support video communication applications such Skype face-to-face chats and video calling.

Lenovo has provided a Doo series of applications like the highly instrumental SHAREit app. This application helps users to quickly share apps, photos, videos and other types of data with other compatible devises while off network.

Connectivity

The devise uses several features for connectivity and sharing. It has a Wi-Fi hotspot and can accommodate 2G, 3G and 4G internet speeds. It has Bluetooth 4.0 application for quick transfer of data between other Bluetooth devises. It also has an operational micro USB port for connecting with computers. The micro-USB port enables the phablet to be used as a modem when connected with desktops. The connectivity of the Lenovo Vibe Z phablet also includes other distinct features such as easy-swap features for data sharing among other similar devises. When several Lenovo gadgets are held together in a row, they can form one large screen to view videos one large platform.

Dimensions and other features

The Lenovo Vibe-Z Quad-core gadget has dimensions of 149.1 mm x77 mm x 7.9 mm. It is quite light weighing only 145, 2 grams. It is fitted with GPS technology with A-GPS support for tracking and location identification. It also has an aerial-less FM radio which can support unlimited channels. It is available in titanium and silver colour, and can be covered with a leather anti-scratch back pack. The devise initially comes with a strong 3,000mAh battery which can provide a standby time of 648 hours and a talk-time of 33 hours. The battery performance is variable when the phablet is used for internet applications and gaming but it is still high.

Applications

The Vibe-z comes with several pre-loaded applications and games including Green Farm 3, real Football 2014, Asphalt 7, Evernote and The UC browser among others. It has a lot of space for application installation as well as a boosted app-opening speed. The devise can support close to 60,000 applications including all the Android related ones.

The SECUREit application helps protect the Vibe-Z gadget from viruses, malware and spams when surfing the internet or connecting with other devises. The SYNCit app helps users to back up their important data, contacts, call logs or messages. The SNAPit feature offers multi-shooting modes for photos and videos while the SEEit app enables users to organize and edit their photos appropriately

Competition

The new Lenovo Vibe-Z phablet is a market faceoff against gadgets such as LG optimums G2 D802, the Samsung Galaxy S4 19500, Sony Xperia Z, Google Nexus 5 and HTC Butterfly. Before the launch of this devise, Lenovo had brought the Vibe X which is the slimmest mobile gadget from the company to date. The Vibe-Z has considerable improvements from this previous gadget especially in terms of speed and accommodated applications. The Lenovo quad-core Vibe Z phablet is a competitive devise which is a recommended phone system for modern business duties and office applications.
