Honor has been bringing new devices in the market every now and then. They have been bringing some nice phones in the mid-range market. Recently, they have come up with Honor 20 Lite which is an upgraded model of Honor’s 10 Lite, which was a blockbuster handset. Honor 20 Lite features 6.21-inch display, Kirin 710 SoC, triple camera setup, and 3,400mAh battery life. It might have most of the features same as its predecessors but it is upgraded at places too. But, the big question is- Is it a worthy upgrade? Let’s check in the Honor 20 Lite review below:

Design and Display

Talking about the design, Honor hasn’t brought some major changes in Honor 20 Lite when compared to Honor 10 Lite. This is just like Honor 10 Lite- with minimal bezels, water drop notch, and glossy vibrant back. Also, the device gets a little bit of the essence of Huawei P30 Lite too. Honor 20 Lite comes in two color variants: Phantom Blue and Midnight Black. The device gives you shiny-glass effect but is still a plastic built. It gets very comfortable in hand and feels grippy too. It feels nice to hold this device. Though it is a big device, you might find odd times when you will struggle to reach the fingerprint sensor. You can adjust for it in a week or two. On the right, you get to see volume rockers and power button. The volume rockers are at awkward positions which are a little bit higher than the normal reach. On the bottom, you get to see a 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB port for charging, and downward-facing speaker grille. The device has used old USB standards which feels outdated in the market now. Disappointing! Additionally you can buy this phone online using Croma Coupon with discounted prices.

Coming to the display, the Honor 20 Lite packs a 6.21-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 2340. The device comes with a pretty large screen which brings out colors very accurate. The device comes with waterdrop notch which makes the screen look pretty bigger. It has 90% screen-to-body ratio- all thanks to tiny notch and thin bezels around the screen.

Performance

Under the hood, Honor 20 Lite packs an octa-core Kirin 710 processor which same as Honor 10 Lite. The device’s chipset is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. The internal storage can be further expanded via microSD card. When it comes to day-to-day tasks, this device works like a smooth breeze. Thanks to its big screen, movie watching experience is really good and you can load plenty of movies in it. When it comes to gaming, Honor 20 Lite has enough power to render high-end games well. On Geekbench 4 benchmark, Honor 20 Lite scored 5,404 on multicore test which is better than Moto G7 Plus’s 4,877.

Cameras

Honor 20 Lite comes with a triple camera array including 24MP f/1.8 main sensor, 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP wide-angle lens. Honor 20 Lite comes with Huawei’s smart AI mode which brings some great images out of the camera. If you leave that mode on, you will get the best images. Even an average image will turn into best! The device’s cameras are really good producing some detailed images with full aesthetics visible on zooming in. In the low lighting, you get some decent pics too. Yes, the night images are not as good as daylight images- but they are still good.

For selfies, Honor 20 Lite comes with a 32MP selfie camera. The selfie camera gets the job done with ease. You get some nice pictures with perfect detailing and enhanced accuracy.

Battery Life

Honor 20 comes with 3,400mAh battery which is the same battery size as the Honor 10 Lite.  In the 90-minute of video looping test at full-screen brightness, the device lost 17% of its fuel. If you want to get along with it full-day, you won’t be disappointed by it. You can get full-day of the device on casual usage and still left with some fuel left in the night. If you are a gamer or wants to hover on social media apps all day, then it can easily last up to 8-10 hours. In terms of battery life various options available in market and one can buy those using Paytm Offers with great deals.

Final Verdict

The Honor 20 Lite is a master machine when it comes to design, display, performance, cameras and battery life. Yes, it is an upgraded model of Honor’s 10 Lite. But, it doesn’t look Honor has traveled long way down to bring new features in Honor 20 Lite. Both devices run on the same chipset, carry the same display and look similar too. The up gradation in RAM and triple camera array is worth noticing. If you are looking for a good camera and powerful performer, Honor 20 Lite is a worthy upgrade. But, if you are not willing to pay a hefty amount for this device, you can go for Honor 10 Lite with fairly similar features at affordable price.
